The possible change from Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart to FC Bayern has been dominating the headlines for weeks. Finally, it was all about the possible transfer for the striker. Now the Munich residents were warned of a “clever industry expert” in this cause.

Michael Reschke knows how to negotiate about transfers from players and he even knows how to do this as the person responsible for FC Bayern. Between 2014 and 2017, the 67-year-old was active as a technical director at the German record champion, and after a few other stations he was turned into the consultant section.

Either way, as a connoisseur of matter, he is a sought -after man, especially when it comes to the concerns of FC Bayern. Now Reschke has commented on the current discussion about the value of Nick Woltemade, where the Munich team has been dredging for a long time. Unlike other experts, however, Reschke did not want to name a specific sum for the center forward of VfB Stuttgart. For this he warned of the Swabian negotiation skills.

“VfB Stuttgart will define the value afterwards,” said Reschke to a corresponding question from “Sport1” and was therefore not elicited. Maybe also from caution. A dispute had previously flared up between Lothar Matthäus and Bayern patron Uli Hoeneß, in which Reschke was also attacked. Matthäus had previously described 60 million euros for “too little” for Woltemade in “Bild”.

According to reports, the Stuttgarters should even demand 100 million euros for the attacker. A tactic, as Reschke believes. “I know Alexander Wehrle very well. This is a clever industry expert,” said the ex-Bavaria official about VfB’s board boss and added: “And that the Stuttgarters currently have no interest in handing in Nick Woltemade is in nature.”

Reschke: FC Bayern can try it …

Woltemade has three years of a contract, “and that without the exit clause,” Remhen Reminded Reschke. “The value of Nick, the quality he has, it won’t be less in these three years. But the likelihood that it will get even better and the value is still increasing is relatively high. That is why the situation is: VfB Stuttgart alone will determine the value.” So do FCB sports director Max Eberl and Co. have no chance of a transfer? Jein, trying is allowed, says Reschke.

“Bayern can make an offer. An offer from which you believe that you want to pay and VfB Stuttgart can consider whether he accepts it or not,” the 67-year-old broke down the currently heated discussions.

“These speculations” would not help numbers. “Especially since there can still be numerous variables in terms of special payments, from resale options, whatever … that is a very complex topic,” said Reschke from his own experience.
