FC Bayern | Uli Hoeneß “very, very happy” with the Munich team’s performances

In terms of sport, everything is going well at FC Bayern these days, as the saying goes. This makes one person in particular very happy: Honorary President Uli Hoeneß.

Uli Hoeneß has long been omnipresent at FC Bayern again. After the club patron withdrew from the public for a long time last season, he is now regularly available to answer questions again. The 71-year-old also didn’t miss the cup game in Münster.

The reason for his appearance is apparently directly related to the team’s recent sporting performances. At least that’s what sports director Christoph Freund suggested, who spent some time in the catacombs after the game in Münster with Hoeneß, Thomas Tuchel and board member Dr. Michael Diederich discussed.

After the conversation, Freund told the “Münchner Abendzeitung”: “He [Hoeneß] is very, very happy with how the team is performing at the moment. It’s fun to watch.”

The atmosphere is great again at FC Bayern

The fact that the wind at FC Bayern has turned in a better direction not only in terms of sport, but also in terms of structure and personnel, is a positive factor in Hoeneß’s good mood. At the end of August he said in an interview with “Welt am Sonntag” about the work in the club: “We have grown very close together again and understand each other better than ever before.”

Hoeneß praised back then that everyone in charge was now “pulling together again”: “That applies to everyone who makes the decisions for us, and that’s good for the whole club.”

This good atmosphere within the club was lost to some extent in the 2022/23 season. After the dismissals of Julian Nagelsmann, Hasan Salihamidzic and Oliver Kahn, the resurrection of “FC Hollywood” was even called for. In the end, FC Bayern turned things around again – to the satisfaction of Uli Hoeneß.
