In the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League, FC Bayern has to make up for a deficit. But not only the opponent could make life difficult for them.

In the Champions League game at the Italian champion Inter Milan, FC Bayern are getting adverse conditions. This is not only on the 1-2 deficit that the Munich team brought from the quarter-final first leg to Italy, but also because of the weather.

The weather forecast says serious storms with large amounts of rain for some regions in Italy, including the Lombardy, where Milan is located. As graduate meteorologist Dominik Jung explained at T-Online, there could even be danger to life (you can read more about this here).

As T-Online was able to observe on site, however, there was only real heavy rain in Milan on Wednesday for around an hour, which then stopped again. Only about two hours before kick -off, the rain started again.

It remains to be seen whether the amounts of rain are enough to affect the lawn in the legendary “San Siro”. However, if this happens, this should be a disadvantage for FC Bayern. Since the German record champions have to catch up with and so that the game has to make the game and maintain a technically more elaborate play style anyway, a soaked lawn would be counterproductive for them. A defensive intermilan, on the other hand, should be happy about the conditions.
