Thomas Müller set a new record with his performance against VfL Bochum (3-0). The 33-year-old attacker, who also scored against Revierklub, played his 428th game in the Bundesliga for FC Bayern on Saturday and is now alone in the ranking of the most-used outfield players in the German upper house in the club history of the record champions the top. Previously, the veteran had been level with the late Bayern legend Gerd Müller.

Müller has been active for the Munich pros since 2009, making him the most loyal professional in the league together with Gladbach’s Tony Jantschke. The right-footed player made his debut in the Bundesliga in August 2008 against HSV under then coach Jürgen Klinsmann at the age of 18 years, eleven months and two days.
In this ranking, Müller is in the top 20, the only active outfield player in the service of FC Bayern. David Alaba (281 appearances) and Robert Lewandowski (253) – also in the top 20 – now play for Real Madrid and FC Barcelona on.
