FC Bayern stars hit – Nagelsmann cleared

FC Bayern can celebrate reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League. But coach Julian Nagelsmann had to take two top performers off the pitch prematurely. Now he explains why.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann announced the replacement of goalscorer Serge Gnabry at half-time in the 7-1 win in the Champions League against RB Salzburg (Here you can read more about it) justified as a precautionary measure.

The national player’s muscle tightened a bit, Nagelsmann reported after the game on Tuesday evening. “We didn’t want to take any risks,” said the 34-year-old coach, especially since the round of 16 second leg was already decided at a score of 4-0.

Nothing “serious” about Coman

Offensive player Kingsley Coman also left the pitch early in the second half due to muscular problems, as Nagelsmann explained when asked. However, he had no feedback that the French could be something “serious”.

Gnabry and Coman should be available again for the leaders in the Bundesliga game at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday.
