According to “Bild”, the Munich-based company has decided on a price tag for Davies and has set it at 70 million euros. This corresponds exactly to the Canadian’s current market value – a year before the end of the contract, players are usually sold for less than this amount. Precisely because of the prevailing situation surrounding the reports, a lower amount may have been expected in Madrid.

It was recently reported that Real wanted to insist on a sum of between 40 and 50 million euros, while “Marca” wrote of a starting offer of 35 million euros. The clubs would have to clear out a difference of more than 20 million euros if the deal were to go through in the coming summer. According to “Bild”, there is still no contact between the clubs.
