After the draw against 1. FC Heidenheim, coach Edin Terzic at Borussia Dortmund was increasingly criticized. At BVB there is said to be a “shadow man” – from FC Bayern of all places.
According to “Bild”, Julian Nagelsmann’s name hovers over BVB coach Terzic. Accordingly, the personal of the former coach of FC Bayern could pick up speed if the Dortmund team did not quickly regain a sense of achievement.
Nagelsmann has been on the wish list of BVB bosses several times in the past. But an engagement never materialized.
Transfer would be due for Nagelsmann
In March, FC Bayern separated from Nagelsmann. There had been major disagreements in Munich at the end of the season about the personnel and the release. The German industry leader had to defend itself against allegations that Nagelsmann was informed much too late. Reports about his departure from FC Bayern were already circulating in the media, and Thomas Tuchel’s commitment as his successor had already been read.
Since Nagelsmann’s contract with Bayern Munich runs until 2026, BVB would have to pay a fee if they actually tried to get the 36-year-old.
“Sky” expert Dietmar Hamann had recently pondered a possible coaching hammer at BVB. “The question Dortmund have to ask themselves is: do we have a chance of progressing in the Champions League group the way we are going at the moment? I said a few days ago that the chance was 20 percent. After maybe a few percentage points tumbled down after yesterday’s game,” said the 50-year-old.
Hamann can therefore imagine: “Things could get hot very quickly in Dortmund because you don’t know how long Nagelsmann has been on the market.” Nagelsmann has been traded at some top clubs in the past. However, the rumors were not concrete.
Terzic should not be counted at BVB yet.
