Galatasaray has confirmed the approaching commitment of Leroy Sané. The last negotiations were taken, the club wrote on Thursday night, shortly after the wing striker of FC Bayern had landed in Istanbul. The Turkish champion accompanied the arrival on a live stream on YouTube. The German international is said to have refused a contract offer from Munich. Now the medical check is pending at the Süper-Lig champion.

“I’m happy to be here,” said Sané when he arrived in private jet with Galatasaray scarf, partner Candice at his side. Videos showed him when driving away from the airport, fans with pyro torches lined the street. Actually, the 29-year-old should now be with the Bayern team in the USA and prepare for the club World Cup. On Tuesday, the record champion listed the player in his squad for the tournament. But now the farewell from Munich is imminent after five years.

He convinced him “the overall package”, said Sané, “the atmosphere of how much the club wanted me, the fans wanted me. That just convinced me to say that I was coming to Galatasaray here.” The alternative in Munich is said to have been a significantly reduced annual salary of 12 million gross plus bonuses after income of 20 million euros gross. As with the proposal from Munich, the contract in Istanbul will probably be valid until 2028, with an annual salary of different reports between 12 million and 15 million euros net. As was recently allegedly in the Victor Osimhen case (26), sponsors could step in again for this enormous amount.

According to a report by “Sky”, a plus for Sané in Istanbul was also the view of a Signing Fee, a bonus for his signature that FC Bayern did not want to pay him. A transfer to the Bundesliga club is not due. Sané’s contract is only valid until the end of the month. The working paper at Galatasaray has not yet been signed with all the pomp of the reception, and the change has not yet been completed despite galatasaray announcement.

“I’ve already played here. There was an incredible atmosphere that impressed me very much,” Sané is quoted on Galatasarays website. “It was very loud in the stadium. Of course, that influenced my decision. I can’t wait to play my first game in front of the Galatasaray fans.”
