Wolfsburg (AP) – Defender Niklas Süle has refused to be included in the squad for the FC Bayern Munich game at VfL Wolfsburg at his own request.
“We asked him if he still wanted to come and he said ‘rather not’ because he hadn’t prepared for it,” explained Bayern coach Julians Nagelsmann after the 2-2 (2-1). “That’s why we left him at home. There’s no extremely deep reason now,” assured Nagelsmann. Süle will switch to league competitor Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in the summer.
