A few hours after the serious injury to Jamal Musiala, there are first reports on the possible downtime. FC Bayern may have to get by on its superstar for a long time.

There was no precise diagnosis of the violation of Jamal Musiala right after the 0: 2 in the quarter-finals of the club World Cup against Paris Saint-Germain (0: 2) in Atlanta.

According to the “German Press Agency”, however, there was talk of a break, possibly on the ankle. Afterwards, coach Vincent Kompany and sports director Max Eberl spoke of this. The latter also indicated an operation, possibly even in the United States.

“Here op, at home op,” Eberl gave an insight into the considerations. It was open on Saturday evening whether Musiala can fly back to Munich with the team from the record champions in Orlando on Sunday. After the end of the game, the club doctors were in the middle of the planning.

“Bild”, meanwhile, reports late Saturday evening that the German international broke his left fabric. In addition, “some ligaments” should be affected. According to the report, the 22-year-old will now be missing for four to five months. The TV pictures had already suggested a longer failure.

Jamal Musiala had been taken to the hospital during the game, after which he was able to return to the team, said “Bild”. According to the tabloid, it is planned that he could actually travel back to Munich together with the team.

Musiala celebrated starting eleven comeback for FC Bayern

The offensive player of FC Bayern went to the ground shortly before the half-time whistle in a duel with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Italian was rushed out of his goal to intercept the ball, scored Musiala on the left ankle. The Bayern star had to be removed with a stretcher.

For Musiala it was the first game from the start since the muscle bundle tear suffered in early April. At the club World Cup, he had previously only been used as a substitute.
