FC Bayern makes goalkeeper decision – farewell to offer of 15 million euros?

FC Bayern will have four seasoned goalkeepers next season, plus a promising talent in Johannes Schenk. Now the German record champions have apparently made the decision that a goalkeeper can leave the club.

Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan to AS Monaco, has no future at FC Bayern. The TV channel “Sky” reports that the 26-year-old can leave the club in the summer. Head coach Thomas Tuchel has already decided that he is not planning Nübel as the number 1 candidate for the coming season.

The former Schalke goalkeeper was still being traded last winter as one of the candidates who should replace Manuel Neuer in goal at short notice after his skiing accident. FC Bayern would have had to agree on a compensation payment with AS Monaco. In the end, the Munich team decided to sign Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach for eight million euros. The 34-year-old received a contract with FC Bayern until 2025.

Due to the commitment of the Swiss, the competition at FC Bayern has intensified again for the next season. After all, Alexander Nübel still has a contract with FC Bayern until 2025.

Does FC Bayern let Nübel go for 15 million euros?

According to “Sky”, however, Nübel himself is not currently aiming to return to his employer. Born in Paderborn, who has become a regular player in Ligue 1 in just under two years in France, he definitely wants to play as number one in the future. Being on the bench behind Manuel Neuer and Yann Sommer and next to Sven Ulreich and Johannes Schenk is therefore out of the question.

According to the TV broadcaster, Alexander Nübel could change in the summer for the transfer fee of 15 million euros. A market is definitely there for the player, they say.
