FC Bayern gave themselves a present even before Christmas with an outstanding sporting second half of the year. Coach Vincent Kompany promised in a message to the fans: It will get even better!
Vincent Kompany is not worried that his Bayern will weaken after the turn of the year.
“With a view to 2026, we have laid a foundation on which we can achieve our goals step by step. Working with this team is pure joy – I feel this hunger for more every day,” explained the coach in a Christmas message to the fans on the record champions’ homepage.
According to Kompany, things are just as harmonious behind the scenes as you would imagine from the outside. “Even after defeats, our dressing room is stable,” he assured, knowing full well that defeats have been very rare isolated cases in recent months.
Kompany: FC Bayern will get new energy
What gives the Belgian hope, in addition to the status quo, is, among other things, the view of the returnees. “A year ago I said that, among other things, the greed of Harry Kane and Eric Dier for their first titles will push us – in 2026 our returnees Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito will also give us energy.”
Kompany continued to assure us that he will stick to his style of play with full conviction. According to him, the players are also completely behind him.

“We want to continue to be creative and make you happy with our style: The players on our team didn’t start with football because they want to run after it – they want to be active, and that’s how we will approach and perform in 2026,” promised the coach.
As far as his private Christmas is concerned, the Belgian announced a small premiere – of a culinary nature: “This Christmas, something that I was able to get to know here will be on the table for the first time at home: Kaiserschmarrn.”
