One of the most discussed personal details in this transfer summer has apparently been decided: Striker Joshua Zirkzee (21) is about to move from FC Bayern Munich to the Italian first division club FC Bologna. As “sky” and the “picture“ reported, the Munich should receive a transfer fee of around 8.5 million euros.
The record champions would have already earned 104.4 million euros from player departures in this transfer period. The Munich team had recently surpassed the previous record income of 84 million euros from the 2018/19 season with the transfer of Tanguy Nianzou (20) to Seville. Zirkzee will sign a contract in Bologna until 2026, although Italy, where he played for Parma Calcio in Serie A, is not said to be his favorite destination. The Munich-based company should have a 50 percent share in a possible resale and therefore also have a buy-back right of up to 25 million euros.

The Dutch U21 international was loaned out by Bayern to Belgian record champions RSC Anderlecht last season. Zirkzee, who still had a contract in Munich until the summer of 2023, was reportedly too expensive for a further commitment. During his time at Anderlecht he scored 18 goals in 47 games and presented 13 goals. Ex-teammate Wesley Hoedt (28) had recently emphasized: “I spoke to Joshua. He really wants to return to Anderlecht.”
Since the beginning of July, Zirkzee has been linked to twelve different clubs in the TM rumor mill, including Bundesliga clubs such as Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach and most recently VfB Stuttgart. In the Swabians, the Bayern talent was traded as a potential successor to Sasa Kalajdzic (25), who is probably moving to the Premier League. Wolverhampton Wanderers want to sign the Austrian.
