Said El Mala is currently causing a sensation at 1. FC Cologne. Now FC Bayern should put out feelers for the shooting star.
As “Sky” reports, FC Bayern is closely monitoring Said El Mala’s development. Accordingly, the 19-year-old left winger is already on the Munich list for the coming transfer window.
1. FC Köln had already been informed about the interest of the German record champions. Other clubs not mentioned by name are also said to be getting into position.
El Mala is contractually bound to 1. FC Köln until 2030. There is no exit clause in his working paper.
The TV station says Effzeh’s pain threshold is 35 million euros.
“Bild” had previously reported that “top offers” for the super talent were “almost certain” in January.
Former managing director Christian Keller predicted in an “Express” interview in June that El Mala would soon bring a record sum into Effzeh’s coffers. “I am determined that he will be the most expensive departure in FC history. He is an exceptional player who we signed when hardly anyone had seen him,” he said at the time.
In the summer of 2024, 1. FC Cologne secured the services of El Mala for just 300,000 euros. The attacker was initially loaned back to Viktoria Köln and has been playing for Effzeh since this season.
El Mala made a steep rise at the Bundesliga club. After six games in the German upper house, they already have two goals and one assist.

1. FC Cologne wants to keep El Mala “on the ground”
“Now we have to make sure we keep the boy on the ground. Then it will be a good thing,” said Cologne defender Joel Schmied after El Mala’s first appearance in the starting eleven last Friday. He had previously been substituted five times in five games.
When asked about El Mala’s possible appointment to the German senior national team, coach Lukas Kwasniok on “Sky” didn’t react very euphorically.
