FC Bayern hot for Niclas Füllkrug? Werder Bremen insists on “pain limit”

In the event of the departure of the goalscorer Niclas Füllkrug, who was also traded at FC Bayern, Werder Bremen is apparently hoping for a very handsome transfer fee.

“Of course there is a pain threshold. And if that’s not reached, we don’t think about giving it up. But if an economically good offer comes, then we have to deal with it too. But we don’t have to accept everything that’s on the table That’s for sure,” said Clemens Fritz, Head of License at the Hanseatic League, to “Bild”.

According to the tabloid, hopes are now growing around Werder that, in the event of a change, Füllkrug will flush a whopping 20 to 25 million euros into the not exactly lavishly filled club coffers. Those responsible in Bremen are probably particularly interested in the English Premier League, where money is known to be very loose.

But the speculation about a possible change of the national player to FC Bayern does not stop. Munich’s “tz” recently wrote that, due to his status as currently the best German striker, Füllkrug is “automatically a candidate” for the German record champions.

FC Bayern looking for a striker

There were also rumors around the World Cup in Qatar, when the 30-year-old was one of the few bright spots in the disappointing DFB team, that FC Bayern would deal with him.

One thing is clear: the bosses around sports director Hasan Salihamidzic are looking for a striker. The new coach Thomas Tuchel is said to have demanded the commitment of a new nine.

Werder Bremen have not yet received any concrete inquiries or even offers for Füllkrug, whose contract runs until 2025 and does not contain an exit clause. “At the moment there is nothing we have to deal with. We are in contact with him and his agency, but we are completely relaxed about it,” explained Fritz.
