FC Bayern Munich has extended the contracts of two young players: According to the record champions, both midfielder Moritz Mosandl (19, photo) and central defender Rares Canea (18) signed a new working paper on Säbener Strasse on Friday.

The two homegrown children have each been suffering from cruciate ligament tears since August of last year. “Both suffered a serious injury last year and have been fighting back ever since. We would like to give them the time to be able to exploit their full potential again and we are convinced that they will continue on their way with us after completing their rehabilitation,” said campus manager Jochen Sauer.
