The former Bayern professional Martín Demichelis was released as the coach of the Mexican association CF Monterrey. The Rayados announced the separation after Monterrey had left Toluca in the quarter -finals of the Liga MX. The 44-year-old had already been criticized for the team’s achievements and the results.
With the end, he will no longer compete at the upcoming club world championship, which begins in mid-June in the United States, as a coach against his Argentinian ex-club River Plate from Buenos Aires. The other opponents are Inter Milan and the Urawa Red Diamonds.
Demichelis took over Monterrey in August last year after being released after a year and a half at the River Plate Record Champion. Overall, he was on the sidelines at the Mexican Association in 43 games. He reached 20 wins, and there were eleven draws and twelve defeats, which means a point cut of 1.65.
As a player, the Argentinian was active at Bayern from 2003 to 2011, and he took over his first coaching position in Munich in the summer of 2019 at the U19 of the record champions. In the spring of 2021, he initially looked after the U21 together with Danny Schwarz. From the 2021/22 season he was the sole responsible amateur trainer and became runner -up in the regional league Bayern. Then he moved home and won the Argentine championship as a coach of River Plate in his premiere season.
