On Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain defended their Champions League title against Arsenal FC thanks to a success in the penalty shootout. After 120 minutes the score was 1-1 and the Parisians won the duel from the spot 4-3. So it’s no wonder that PSG stars also dominate the official team of the season in Europe’s premier football league. But FC Bayern also has a duo.
On Sunday, UEFA published the best eleven of the 2025/26 Champions League season. This includes players from the finalists Paris Saint-Germain and FC Arsenal as well as the semi-finalists FC Bayern and Atlético Madrid.
Harry Kane was FC Bayern’s top CL goalscorer with 14 goals in 13 games. This result was only topped by Kylian Mbappé from Real Madrid (15 goals) in the recently ended Champions League season. In this season’s eleven, however, Kane will be storming alongside PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé. The 2025 world footballer was responsible, among other things, for the Parisians’ equalizer in the final.
The wing tongs are also filled with stars from PSG and Bayern. On the left is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was also voted player of the season in the premier class with 17 scorer points, and on the right is Michael Olise from FC Bayern.
Real Madrid youngster the “discovery of the season”
The midfield center is made up of Vitinha from the Parisians and Declan Rice from Arsenal.
Another Gunners player, the Spaniard David Raya, is guarding the goal and the Londoners are also represented in defense by central defender Gabriel. The back four are also formed by Nuno Mendes and Marquinhos from PSG, which has five players and therefore the majority. Llorente from Atlético plays on the right defensive side. The only star who has to do without teammates.
Bayern failed in the semi-finals against PSG. Arsenal eliminated Atlético Madrid on the way to the final.
The title of “Discovery of Playing Time” goes to Real Madrid, where the Turkish Arda Güler kicks. The 21-year-old played 14 CL games, scored two goals and prepared four goals. His brace in the 3-4 win in the quarter-final second leg against FC Bayern was particularly impressive.
