A total of 18 players from FC Bayern’s first and second teams are currently on loan. One person who is recommended for higher tasks is the Dane Jonathan Asp Jensen at the Grasshopper Club Zurich. The 19-year-old is his team’s best scorer after eight match days in the Swiss Super League with two goals and four assists. Now FCB youth boss Jochen Sauer has drawn an interim conclusion and taken a look into the crystal ball.

The Bayern loans at a glance: First team / Second team

Asp Jensen came to Munich from FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2022 for a fee of 1.2 million euros. The talent played his first and only game for the professionals in May 2024 in the Bundesliga (2-0 against Wolfsburg). Otherwise he was used in the youth sector. Now Asp Jensen is shaking up the Swiss upper house.

“Jonny has developed extremely well in Zurich. He is a regular player, collects scorer points diligently and has already established himself as a leader in the team despite his young age,” says Sauer from “Kicker“Quoted. In Munich they are “very happy with this loan so far”. Only three players in the Super League have more than Asp Jensen’s six goals.

When Asp Jensen was loaned to Zurich last June, Sauer said: “At the Grashoppers and in the first Swiss league, we see the best conditions for him to further advance his good football development.” In the latest market value update in Switzerland, the Danish junior international was increased in value by 500,000 to 2 million euros. This makes him the second most valuable professional in the GC squad after goalkeeper Justin Hammel (2.5 million euros).

“He brings a lot with him to establish himself in a top league like the Bundesliga at some point,” said Sauer about Asp Jensen. His contract in Munich is dated until 2028. Next to him, Lovro Zvonarek (20) also plays for the Grashoppers on loan from Bayern.
