AUDIO: Schlagermove zieht wieder durch Hamburg (1 Min)

Stand: 04.07.2026 19:59 Uhr

Bunte Party und volle Straßen in Hamburg: Trotz regnerischem Wetter haben am Sonnabend rund 200.000 Menschen beim 28. Schlagermove mitgefeiert.

Approximately 50 vividly decorated trucks filled with enthusiastic Schlager fans kicked off their parade from Heiligengeistfeld on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The event, known as Schlagermove, drew in a staggering 200,000 partygoers, transforming the streets of Hamburg into a vibrant festival despite the gloomy weather.

Celebrating Schlager Music

The heart of the celebration was undoubtedly the flamboyant trucks that made their way through the streets. These colorful vehicles, adorned with balloons and floral decorations, took spectators on an exciting journey across various neighborhoods, including the renowned Reeperbahn, Hafenstraße, and Millerntorplatz. The festive atmosphere created a delightful spectacle as fans donned flamboyant outfits reminiscent of the 70s and 80s. The entertainment on the trucks featured popular Schlager artists such as Karl König, Peter Sebastian, Rosanna Rocci, and Peter Orloff, ensuring that the music flowed and the energy remained high.

After-Move Festivities

This year, for the first time, the after-party took place right on Heiligengeistfeld, utilizing the trucks themselves as the venue for continued celebrations, according to event organizer Axel Annich. The traditional after-move party at Hamburg’s Docks was also a highlight. Starting at 6 PM, DJs Vossi and The Real DJ Maikel kept the party alive, while attendees could also enjoy the “Schlagermove in Concert Open Air” held the previous evening, featuring numerous Schlager stars.

Safety and Accessibility Measures

With large crowds expected, safety was a paramount concern. Streets in the St. Pauli district were closed off to ensure the safety of participants and onlookers. The Reeperbahn remained closed until Sunday morning, and visitors to a concurrent concert by Schlager-pop star Helene Fischer were advised to use public transportation for an easier commute.

To address sanitation needs, organizers provided over 500 portable toilets along the route to prevent any inconvenience. Special accommodations included urinals for men and clean, staffed facilities for women. In case of emergencies, around 300 medical personnel were stationed throughout the area, with a discreet codeword—”Habt Ihr Softeis?”—designated for those needing assistance.

Promoting Inclusivity

Moreover, the “Rollstuhl-Truck” was introduced for the sixth time, enhancing inclusivity for individuals with disabilities. With this initiative, the event aimed to demonstrate that inclusion can thrive even at such large gatherings, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. This dedication to accessibility is a noteworthy aspect of the event, affirming the event’s commitment to celebrate joy and unity in diversity.

A Celebrated Tradition

Schlagermove in Hamburg is one of the largest Schlager events in Germany, echoing the enthusiasm and vibrancy of classic Schlager music and culture. Last year, approximately 300,000 visitors joined this celebratory event, further solidifying its place as a pillar of Hamburg’s cultural identity. Despite the rain, this year’s festivities echoed the spirit of resilience and joy that define the beloved event.
