“Will be difficult”: Flick warns despite 4: 0 in the first leg of BVB
April 14, 2025 – 6:27 p.m.Reading time: 2 min.

After the winning victory in the first leg, Barça’s semi -finals seem to be almost safe. But coach Flick still warns of the second leg in Dortmund – in all sustainability.
“It is extremely important to show a team like Dortmund from the start, to show what strength you have yourself,” said Flick on Monday at the press conference. The former national coach was “happy” about the result of the first leg, but emphasized that it was also important in the second leg for a convincing performance: “I know that it will be difficult here, and so we hire the team too.”
Flick made it clear that nothing changes in the basic approach: “Our idea of how we want to play football is always to deliver the best possible performance.” Midfielder Dani Olmo was “ready” after his adductor injury, but you still have to handle him carefully.
Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, who continues to represent the injured Marc-André Ter Stegen, sees no reason to relax in the clear starting point. “For me it is a big moment to play a game that everyone says that it is already over on paper,” said the pole. But that is not the case for him: “We also want to win this game, we are not here to lose just with fewer than four goals.”
With a view to the return of the regular keeper Marc-André Ter Stegen, Szczęsny made it clear: “If he will come back soon and the coach says that he is playing, that’s okay for me.” He also emphasized: “We get along very well and I appreciate Marc very much.”
