FC Barcelona has made it to the top of the table in Spain for the time being – thanks to Robert Lewandowski. The former Bayern professional scored the 1-0 winner for the Catalans in injury time in Saturday night’s away game at FC Valencia.
For Lewandowski it was the 13th goal in the twelfth LaLiga game. Barcelona are equal on points thanks to the better goal difference in front of Real Madrid, but the leaders still expect FC Girona on Sunday (4:15 p.m. / in the TM live ticker).
The defense and especially goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen set a new zero record. The DFB player has ten clean sheets after twelve games this season – no goalkeeper in the Spanish top flight has ever managed that.
