The violation of the financial rules has now followed for some top European clubs. The UEFA imposes sensitive fines against them.

Millions of fines for top European clubs: UEFA has imposed sanctions against several clubs. FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC are also among those affected. The reason: you violated the Financial FairPlay of the European umbrella organization.

Both clubs therefore have to pay high sums of money. Chelsea FC, currently a participant in the club World Cup, was borne by a fixed payment of 31 million euros. Barça, who is trained by ex-national coach Hansi Flick, has to pay 15 million euros. Additional penalties could follow in the event of further violations.

Other clubs, including Aston Villa, FC Porto and Olympique Lyon, were also sanctioned for violations of the Financial FairPlay. Some of the affected clubs, including Barça and Chelsea, have concluded agreements with the UEFA. According to these, transfers are only possible if the balance sheet between income and expenses in the squad is positive.
