After the contract extension with Noahkai Banks, FC Augsburg has bound another home in the association in the long term. Mert Kömür extended his contract early until 2029, the 19 -year -old midfielder had played 20 Bundesliga games (two goals) for the FCA in the past season.
Kömür is “a figurehead for our orientation and shows which way young players can go with us,” said FCA managing director Michael Ströll. The U20 international joined the Fuggerstadt offspring in 2019, and in 2024 he debuted in the Bundesliga.
