In 2024, the Moomin lollipop, which was withdrawn from sale, will be in stores again.

The Moomin lollipop has a new round shape. Fazer

Seeing the light of day again, Fazer’s Moomin lollipop has experienced a big change before it arrives in stores again. The lollipop has new flavors and a new shape.

Director of Communications at Fazer Confectionery Liisa Eerola tells Iltalehte that lollipops will be available in stores in September.

Fazer stopped selling Moomin lollipops in October 2024 due to a product safety risk. In lollipops, the size, hardness and shape of the candy, combined with the stick softening in the mouth, could create a dangerous situation if the candy came off the stick suddenly.

– Since then, there has been a lot of hope for the lollipops back and now they are coming back, but in different shapes, i.e. round, says Eerola in an e-mail message.

There are three flavors to choose from in the new lollipop: strawberry, lemon and orange. The old flavors were raspberry, lemon and apple.

– We hope that the new ones will be as popular as the old lollipops, which clearly had a large fan base among people of all ages, says Eerola.
