Terry Pegula comes from Pennsylvania and made his fortune to build an energy company. With his company “East Resources”, he earned billions through natural gas funding-especially by fracking in the Appalache pool. In 2010 he sold large parts of his company for around $ 4.7 billion (around EUR 4.2 million). The current property of the 74-year-old is estimated at around $ 7.4 billion (around 6.6 million euros).
Since then, Pegula has invested his money in US sports. Together with his wife Kim Pegula, the NHL team Buffalo Sabres has been owned by him since 2011, and the NFL team Buffalo Bills has also been the case since 2014. The Pegula family is a fixture in Buffalo – sporty and socially.
Daughter Jessica started tennis early – and was skeptically eyed by the public as a teenager. The accusation: she “bought” her career, had only ended up in profit tennis due to her family’s financial possibilities.
