Fashionette publishes first forecasts for The Platform Group AG

In September, the Düsseldorf online retailer Fashionette AG decided to merge with the e-commerce specialist The Platform Group GmbH & Co. KG. Although the company says the transaction has not yet been entered in the commercial register, it presented initial forecasts for The Platform Group AG, the company resulting from the merger, on Thursday. The figures were determined on a pro forma basis and combine existing results from the two companies involved.

The Management Board of Fashionette AG therefore expects for the current 2023 financial year “a combined pro forma GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) of 700 million euros, pro forma sales of 440 million euros and pro forma adjusted EBITDA of 20 million euros” for The Platform AG.

Compared to the corresponding pro forma figures from the previous year, GMV would increase by 14 percent and sales by 32 percent. EBITDA adjusted for special effects is even expected to rise by 92 percent. The company explained that “both organic and inorganic growth are taken into account” in the growth rates.

In the medium term, the Fashionette board is aiming for a GMV of one billion euros for The Platform Group AG. The adjusted EBITDA margin should reach a value of between seven and ten percent.
