Gap’s new website in Italy will go online on October 1st. This was announced by the Italian fashion group Ovs on Wednesday.
Ovs acquired the independent Gap businesses in Italy in February. Two years ago, the fashion group signed a franchising agreement with the American brand, which included the inclusion of the GapKids brand in Ovs stores and the sale of the men’s, women’s and children’s collections on the Ovs website.
The 11 stores acquired, including the flagship store in Rome and 10 outlets, will be joined between September and October by 16 shop-in-shops selling women’s, men’s and children’s fashion in Coin’s recently acquired stores, as well as three outlets. The search for a location in Milan is also underway, reports the Ovs management.
In November, Gap Inc, a New York Stock Exchange listed company, and Ovs signed an agreement to sell the Gap stores in Italy to Ovs.
