Farmers are protesting again tonight, this time the group is closing the Afsluitdijk in the direction of the Northern Netherlands. The police are present at the protest, a spokesperson said that they are in discussions with the activists to end the protest as safely as possible.
The protest started around 8:15 p.m. Dozens of tractors and passenger cars are present at the protest, the police wrote on X.
Halfway the Afsluitdijk, near Breezanddijk, hay bales were set on fire.

Earlier in the evening there were already rumors of a protest. “We want to make our statement, it is not our intention to deceive or frustrate people. We hope that people will one day understand our message. The Afsluitdijk is an option, but I don’t want to share too much about it,” said one farmer on NH.
The farmers also protested on Friday evening. Then a group blocked the A7 in both directions near Hoorn.
