Talents at FC Bayern find it difficult to get regular playing time. Winger Nestory Irankunda, for example, is toying with a loan. Adam Aznou imagines his future quite differently.
Adam Aznou doesn’t want to leave FC Bayern in the winter. He revealed in an interview with “Bild” that he is not aiming for a loan deal until next summer.
“At the moment I don’t want to let myself go on loan. In my opinion it’s not the best option for just six months. Maybe that will be an issue in the summer – but that depends on how the next few months go until the end of the season and what’s best then for my development,” said the 18-year-old clearly.
Sure: a temporary farewell would probably give Aznou more match practice. The Spanish-born Moroccan senior national player made his Bundesliga debut in FC Bayern’s 3-0 home win against 1. FC Union Berlin at the beginning of November. In the away game at Schalke against Shakhtar Donetsk (5-1) in mid-December, he was on the pitch for the first time in his career in the Champions League. No further missions have been added so far.
High goals at FC Bayern
Nevertheless: Aznou was extremely satisfied with how the season has gone so far. “It was a spectacularly good year for me. With my first Bundesliga game and my debut for the Moroccan national team, I was able to make a big leap. I achieved all the goals that I had set for 2024,” said the top talent , who came from FC Barcelona in 2022.
The youngster played his first senior international match for Morocco last September and played two more games in November. At FC Bayern, the left-back gets match practice in the regional league, where he can look back on seven competitive appearances in 2024/25.
The fact that Adam Aznou is not thinking about a loan mainly has to do with his big goal for 2025: “I want to fight for my place with the professionals, that’s a big challenge at Bayern!”
