Benjamin Sesko moves from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig to the Premier League to Manchester United. The club announced this on Saturday (August 9). According to the media, the change should bring up to 85 million euros. The fixed transfer is therefore initially 76.5 million euros. Marcel Schäfer: “Sporty and human a loss”
Schäfer sees the departure of his best striker with a laughing and a crying eye. “Benji came to RB Leipzig as an extremely talented player and, despite his young age, has developed into a striker at the top European level in the past two years,” the sports director is quoted. However, the economic framework would “of course play a role”.
Weekly hanging section ends
In the past few weeks, the signs had already compacted that the 22-year-old would no longer appear for RB. After the disappointing season of the Leipziger and the missed qualification for a European competition, Sesko had looked around for other options. Sesko leaves RB cosmos after six years
For Sesko, the change is also a jump out of the comfort zone Red Bull.
