100 goals in 104 missions for FC Bayern-with his double pack at 4-0 at the start of the 5th Bundesliga matchday, Harry Kane achieved a very special record in Europe’s top leagues: Erling Haaland (at Manchester City) and Cristiano Ronaldo (during his time at Real Madrid) each needed 105 games for 100 hits.
But how long does the Englishman hire for the Munich man like on the assembly line? Recently reports of a possible exit clause of the 32-year-old, Kane was repeatedly associated with a return to his long-time club Tottenham Hotspur. So is Harry Kane again before the farewell from the Bavarian capital?
After the 4-0 on Friday evening, Kane commented on the speculation with clear words: “No, not at the moment,” replied the record goal scorer of the English national team at Sky when asked whether he was thinking of a return to England. And further: “I am very happy at FC Bayern. My contract is still running for two more years and I enjoy every minute here. I enjoy playing here in front of the fans, I enjoy it here with the team with the coach.” Kane made it clear: “So I don’t think about that at all.”
When asked by Sky reporter Michael Leopold, whether FC Bayern was the best club for him to win titles, Kane replied directly: “Absolutely. And hopefully there will be a couple.”
Kane switched from Tottenham to Munich for 95 million euros, the most expensive purchase of the Bayern club history. And some will probably be added to the 100 goals.
