The Rallyx European Championship weekend at Kymiring has not gone as planned.
Two separate races had to run at the event, one on Saturday and the second on Sunday. Due to the poor condition of the track, the weekend program had to be reduced.
In the end, it was decided that only one race would be run over the weekend. Its first rounds took place on Saturday and the finals are on Sunday.
Saturday’s first rounds went largely for waiting and intermittent runs. At its best, only two consecutive departures were driven on the track, for a total of about ten minutes, after which up to 45 minutes of maintenance breaks were held.
Rallyx is a rallycross series where the race consists of both gravel and asphalt sections.
According to Iltalehti, Kymiring had problems with the gravel section of the track. In rallycross, the gravel part is launched between the races, but Kymiring took longer than expected.
The schedule also had to be changed because the city would not be able to drive after 6 pm on the city’s order due to the noise.
Some of the starters planned for Saturdays had to be moved to Sunday due to a tight schedule.

Criticism from viewers
The reader of Iltalehti, who is present, describes the arrangements of the event as incomplete anyway.
According to the reader, there were no stools to bring their own stools in the area, but there were no seating places for those who bought a cheaper ticket. Only a ticket of EUR 80 got a seating location, which was in a poor location that did not see the race.
Bringing snacks and umbrellas was forbidden and drinking water was sold at a high price, three euros for a half -liter bottle, the reader said.
One viewer commented on the Kymiring Facebook update as a straightforward farce.
– Pretty poorly organized event. The stands are far too far from the track. The track after a few cars in terrible condition.
