Fans still believe in it: Ajax was passionately sung during the last training for Classic

Ajax may be in a deep administrative crisis, and things are certainly not going away on the field either, but the die-hard fan remains confident. Especially in the good outcome of tomorrow’s match against Feyenoord.

Traditionally, the last training for tomorrow’s De Klassieker in the Johan Cruijff Arena was public. Many fans attended the training and supported Maurice Steijn’s team with songs and fireworks.

With only 5 points from 4 games, Ajax has had the worst start to the season in 59 years. Last Thursday, the Amsterdam team played a 3-3 draw against Olympique Marseille in the Europa League. The supporters see an upward trend in the game.

“You always support your club 100 percent, no matter what happens,” said one of the fans. “It’s a difficult period now, but you see, we’re all here together. Once an Ajax player, always an Ajax player.”

The Classic is tomorrow afternoon in the Johan Cruijff Arena, the kick-off is at 2.30 pm.
