Falling glass after fire: farmers advised to put animals in stables

During the devastating fire at the transport company Axell Logistics in Etten-Leur, particles of solar panels were released and settled in the wide area. The safety region advises, among other things, farmers in the area to temporarily put all animals in stables and to properly inspect animal feed for possible glass particles.

There were five thousand solar panels on the roof of the transport company.

Local residents who find glass particles are advised to pick them up with gloves and dispose of them with the residual waste. These glass parts can be sharp, so be careful with children and pets, the safety region advises. The glass particles are mainly found in the area north of the fire in Etten-Leur.
