Failure against BVB? Kingsley Coman comments

In FC Bayern’s 8-0 (0-0) win against Darmstadt 98, Kingsley Coman had to be substituted after just over an hour. The Frenchman then revealed to journalists whether his participation in the Bundesliga clash with BVB next weekend was in danger.

Small and large injury or illness-related question marks behind Raphael Guerreiro, Dayot Upamecano and Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka (broken hand) and Joshua Kimmich (red card suspension) are definitely not there: before the Bundesliga game next Saturday (6:30 p.m.) at Borussia Dortmund Coach Thomas Tuchel is once again plagued by personnel concerns at FC Bayern.

After all: the Munich head coach at BVB can in all probability plan with Kingsley Coman. The 27-year-old winger had to leave the pitch against Darmstadt in the 65th minute due to problems with his ankle and was replaced by Thomas Müller.

With a view to playing in the BVB cracker, the Frenchman was confident after the game in the mixed zone of the Allianz Arena. “Yes, that will work,” he confirmed to “AZ”.

FC Bayern’s offensive sets a new Bundesliga record

This is welcome news for Tuchel, as Coman is, alongside Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sané and Harry Kane, an important part of the best offensive line in FC Bayern’s history at this point.

The Munich team already has 34 Bundesliga goals to their name after nine games in 2023/2024 – a new record. The previous record was 33 goals, set by FC Bayern itself in the 2021/22 season.

“It was fireworks in the second half,” enthused sports director Christoph Freund after the Darmstadt game. FC Bayern gave the promoted team its eight goals in just 38 minutes. Coman had prepared Sané’s 4-0 (64′) immediately before he was substituted.
