Istanbul has been dealing with heavy snowfall since Sunday. Istanbul airport has therefore had to close due to the extreme weather conditions. The snowfall is so heavy that even the roof of the airport has collapsed. All flights at the airport have been canceled until at least 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The runways are still closed, according to the Civil Aviation Authority. It doesn’t look like it will stop snowing in the region anytime soon.
