It’s up or down. Tonight at 9 p.m. AZ will play in the eighth final of the KNVB cup tournament against FC Twente. Both clubs have not lost in more than three months. NH Sport will broadcast the match live in an extra broadcast on NH Radio that starts at 7 p.m.!

If everyone successfully passes the corona test, AZ will be almost at full strength tonight. Of the basic team, only Bruno Martins Indi has to miss the match in Enschede; he is recovering from a toe injury.

Earlier this season the Alkmaarders lost 3-1 at FC Twente. There was a negative lead role for Timo Letschert who made a flashy mistake in the two early goals of Twente. The defender was then immediately substituted and did not play a minute for AZ afterwards. He is allowed by the club management to another employer looking out.

Twente settled somewhat fortunately in the previous cup round, in the extension, with Feyenoord (2-1). AZ had in the home game no trouble with Heracles Almelo (4-1) that entered the field with a B-team. Tonight, both Twente and AZ will do everything they can to reach the quarterfinals of the KNVB Cup. Who succeeds, you will hear from reporters Erik-Jan Brinkman and Edward Dekker.

There will also be an extra radio broadcast from NH Sport tomorrow evening. Then you can follow the PSV – Telstar cup match directly from 6.30 pm.
