The Netherlands is making an extra 7.5 million euros available to enable the salvage of the oil storage tanker Safer off the coast of Yemen. With this, Minister Liesje Schreinemacher for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation wants to bridge the financing gap so that the rescue operation, which is intended to prevent a major oil disaster, can start under the leadership of the United Nations.
