Export flights and 8 thousand detainees: the situation in Kazakhstan

The number of those detained in connection with the riots in Kazakhstan approached 8 thousand, such information is given in the headquarters of the republic. On January 10, at 10 am Moscow time, an extraordinary CSTO summit will take place. The organization’s peacekeepers arrived in Kazakhstan to guard important facilities. They also help Russians who wish to return to their homeland to leave the republic.

This flight from Almaty to Moscow to the Chkalovsky airfield lasted more than 4 hours, and these are the most cherished seconds. Military transport IL-76 slows down on the runway of the airfield. This is a novelty for passengers – after all, civilian planes do not fly here.

This is a special export flight, you will not see him on the international arrivals board in the usual schedule. So, citizens of our country who voluntarily expressed a desire to return to their homeland are delivered to Russia from Kazakhstan. On the first board there are 100 people.

Among the passengers there are many who flew to Kazakhstan to visit their relatives for the New Year holidays, and then could not return on their own. Schoolgirl Liza Domnina came to her dad from Simferopol, the Ministry of Defense allowed her father to accompany her to Russia.

Dmitry Domnin: “I would like to convey my gratitude to the Ministry of Defense for the opportunity to accompany the child, and also to the Russian Embassy in Alma-Ata for the information provided. That they explained everything and everything was very simple to do.”

On special flights of the Ministry of Defense, tourists were also delivered to Russia, who during the holidays were eager to master the slopes at the ski resorts in the vicinity of Almaty.

“We are so happy that they took us out, we flew with pleasure quite normally. Despite the fact that it was a military aircraft,” says tourist Tamara. Dmitry agrees with her: “We flew fine, the flight took off like a feather, everything was neat. It was very comfortable. They asked how our condition was. They were constantly interested. Well done, just super!”

Passengers were warned in advance that they would be allowed into the IL-76 without luggage – they could only take hand luggage with them. But for families with children, they made an exception – they were able to pick up the strollers. Little Emilia diligently straightens the hood of her dad, as if she understands all the hardships of adults.

Alexey and Emilia: “Initially we went to see friends, but wanted to relax, go skiing. We were very grateful to our authorities, we nevertheless promptly organized the evacuation, because we lived right in the center of the city, where everything exploded and there were shootouts . Honestly, we didn’t even know how to get out of there. “

To get on an export flight, you need to contact the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A hotline was opened there. The embassy of our country in Kazakhstan is compiling lists of passengers. There are already 1600 people willing. Many had to either leave ahead of schedule, or vice versa – wait a few days.

Alla Zaitseva: “Thank you for being taken out so quickly. Because we had tickets for the 13th, and it was already scary to be there.”

In total, three Il-76 aircraft of the Ministry of Defense landed in Chkalovsky in one day. And each, as they say, was filled to capacity.

“Thanks to Vladimir Vladimirovich for taking the Russians out! We practically didn’t leave the hotel, so we heard nothing except shots, my husband went out to get food for the nursery. Thank God we left. It’s good at home,” the passengers say.

For all arrivals – standard procedures. First, border control, then customs, and always epidemiological. Sanitary measures during the coronavirus pandemic are not superfluous.

Now the situation in Kazakhstan, according to the country’s authorities, is gradually stabilizing. But despite this, there are still problems with air traffic. On Sunday alone, about 30 international flights were canceled in the republic, including to Moscow and St. Petersburg, and more than 120 domestic ones. Therefore, in order for the Russians to get home, they will again have to use military transport aircraft. As the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized, until everyone returns to their homeland.
