Residents in the center of Nuenen were startled by a huge explosion around five o’clock on Monday night. The door of an Italian delicatessen/pizzeria was completely destroyed. The explosive was taped to the door.
There are several apartments above the shop, all residents escaped unscathed.
A large area in front of the store has been closed off for safety. An Explosives Reconnaissance team leader is on his way to check with his colleagues whether the situation is safe. The police will then conduct a trace investigation.
