Experts: control tower understaffed on the night of the Air Canada aircraft collision

New York’s LaGuardia Airport was so busy last Sunday that extra staff had to be deployed. This is what several (former) air traffic controllers say after the fatal collision between a passenger plane and a fire truck. Both pilots were killed in the tragedy. Previously, audio fragments revealed the panic in the control tower: “I screwed up.”
