During the week there were chaos at the Füchsen Berlin. Now there is also a sporty blow – the fans react significantly.
Claping for the foxes, whistle concert and Häme for club boss Bob Hanning: The Berlin handball players had a massive unsettling by the turbulence on their leadership and did not have a chance in the Bundesliga top game against SC Magdeburg. In the duel of the two largest title contenders, the German champion acted in phases like a relegation and went down with 32:39 (13:22). Coach Nicolej Krickau experienced a fox premiere to forget.
The unprecedented double refrigeration from sports director Stefan Kretzschmar and coach Jaron Siewert had caused a great criticism during the preparation days. Before the game, Kretzschmar was therefore prompted to call the Berlin fans to stand behind the team.
The support for the players was great. Krickau and Hanning, on the other hand, were massively booed. During an interview, Laute “Jaron Siewert” interrogation choirs echoed through the arena. Even the SCM supporters mocked Hanning and called: “Without Jaron, nothing would be going on here”. In the ARD, Hanning replied to the fan rage: “If you are responsible, you have to stand by it.”

Sergey Hernández grew out in the goal of the guests and came to nine parades for the break. The hosts were in rows of misconceptions and passes. Even star player Mathias Gidsel, who was often on the ground after intensive duels, was weak in the end.
The horror week for the Berliners culminated after the restart when Magdeburg increased the lead to twelve goals in the meantime. There was nothing to be seen of a duel between two top teams. Magdeburg acted at a completely different level of performance. While the Foxes fans continued to boo despite their team’s little catch-up, the SCM fans celebrated themselves as “leader”.
