Expats in the Netherlands are increasingly buying a home. The number of homes sold to expats doubled in five years. In some neighborhoods, 50 to 75 percent of the residents are now expat. “If you want to buy a house in such a neighborhood, you have a few sturdy competitors,” says Gerco van den Berg, program manager at NMV Wonen.
