From September 10th to October 11th, a fashion exhibition on men’s fashion brand in men, which belongs to MDS (Miyake Design Studio), will take place in the Berliner Andreas Murkudis Store. The exhibition is entitled “Fly with in the men” and is opened as part of Berlin Art Week.
The men was founded in 2021 and pursues new possibilities of making clothing based on Issey Miyake’s design philosophy of a single piece of fabric. The design team has set itself the goal of redefining clothing by rethinking the shape and construction of clothing and taking into account the integration of design and technology. The aim of this project is to stimulate the dialogue between the audience not only from the fashion industry, but also from other creative areas and beyond in order to further research the relationship between society and clothing design for the future.
In January 2025, men’s fashion was presented for the first time in the men. The exhibition in Berlin comprises several items of clothing from the FW 2025/26 collection, which are based on the philosophy of a piece of fabric and use advanced technologies and traditional web and coloring techniques.
The part “im” of the brand name comes from “Im Product”, a product brand by Issey Miyake, which was available from the late 1970s to the 90s. In the men, products in the team develop and uses the expertise of each individual member that is familiar with the structure and materials of clothing, as well as ideas and techniques from unique perspectives. The aim of the brand is to create products that combine technology, design and creation with each other through the exchange of experimental processes.
The exhibition will take place from September 10 to October 11, 2025 at Potsdamer Straße 81 in Berlin.
