In the US they are busy preparing our Belgian astronaut Raphaël Liégeois for his first mission to the ISS in 2026. Occasionally he returns to Cologne, where the European Astronaut Center of the ESA is located. An excellent opportunity for our science journalist Martijn Peters to visit him. Together they look back on an eventful year for Liégeois. “I’m proud, but sometimes I also have a hard time with it.”
