At least 2,000 Flemish school buildings are not asbestos safe, according to figures from waste company OVAM, which the HLN research unit had exclusive access to. This means that not only is asbestos present, but there is also a possible health hazard. School boards are concerned, but they often have too few resources. How serious are those problems?
