The skaters previously rode in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar. In Hoorn, the men’s rankings were still open. Jorian ten Cate started as the leader, but finished eleventh in De Westfries after 150 laps. Because Daan Gelling crossed the line in sixth place, he took over the lead in the general classification.

The day’s victory in Hoorn went to Wisse Slendebroek. The 21-year-old skater from Oudorp had a wide lead over the rest and was able to fully enjoy his win. “This is a big match and that makes the victory even better.”
