But it is not yet certain which route the high-voltage connection will follow exactly. From the sea, the current comes ashore in any case underground, in Bruges it goes above ground along existing lines and pylons. A new pipeline would then be built along the E403, and that choice therefore seems to be heading for above ground. Between Izegem and Ledegem it is still unclear for the time being which of the four routes Ventilus will follow further in order to transport the current beyond Avelgem, across the Walloon border.
