“It gives me goosebumps.” Bus driver Jerko Tipuric (64), ex-professional football player and football coach, returned with VTM NIEUWS for the first time to the site of the accident in Veldegem (West Flanders) where he saved the lives of 16 children two weeks ago. He evacuated them just in time for an oncoming train after his bus came to a standstill at a railway crossing.
